Without a teacher, the life of a student is a life without any direction. One of the beauties of teaching is that there is no limit to one’s growth as a teacher, just as there is no knowing beforehand how much your students can learn. A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination, and instil love for learning.
Teacher’s Day is celebrated to express gratitude and appreciation for the hard work of teachers. Teacher’s Day is celebrated on the 5th of September every year in India. September 5th is the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, and is also celebrated in commemoration of his birth anniversary.
Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated Teacher’s Day with great zeal and zest wherein the students extended their gratitude to every teacher for their selfless service and dynamic support. The function started with lightning a lamp by Principal Madam in front of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s photo.
Blue House Mother gave a bouquet of flowers and a greeting card as a token of love to Principal Madam. Following this, the Principal gave a speech explaining the importance of teachers and how teachers are the builders of the nation. Shreya Ghorpade of Class IX delivered a speech on Teacher’s Day which was prepared by Reshma miss. On this significant day, the little blooming tiny tot, Sylvia Khanchandani of LKG gave a small but sweet speech on Teacher’s Day. The entire programme was applauded by everyone. In the end all the students thanked all the teachers for providing a great education.
