School Celebrates Sports Day

The school celebrated Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm. It was organized over two days, the primary section conducting it on January 30th and the secondary section on January 31st.

 Mr. Raj Sajjanlal Chowdhary, founder of Krida Bharati, was invited as the chief guest for the primary section sports day. The programme began with lighting of the ‘Krida Jyot’, followed by march-past by students of Std. IV. Balloons were released by the chief guest to declare the sports day open. Students sang a melodious welcome song followed by a parade demo by students of Std. IV. The Annual Report was presented by Mrs. Indulekha, Principal of the primary section. The chief guest addressed the students and spoke about the importance of sports. Students of the primary section performed a variety of items such as gymnastics, drill exercises, formations using balls, hoops, barchi, etc. Prizes were given to the winners of different sports competitions, and the programme ended with vote of thanks by Mrs. Anuja Yethinder.

Miss Nishta Shah, national rhythmic gymnast was invited as the chief guest for the secondary section sports day. Principal Brni. Pavanamritha Chaitanya, read the Annual Report. The chief guest addressed the students, stressing the importance of proper time management. She also urged students to have high goals and work hard to reach them. A variety of sports demonstrations were presented by the students such has Zumba exercise, human pyramid, cycle pyramid, skilful use of ropes and dumbbells, aerobic exercises and lezim. Prizes were given away by the chief guest to the SSC and HSC exam toppers, and the programme ended with Vande Mataram.
