International Girls Day 2013

The international Girls Day was celebrated on Friday, 11th October, 2013. It was the Day where we celebrated to recognize ‘Girls’, their rights and unique challenges faced by them around the world.

The celebration began with the lighting of the Lamp by our Respected Principal. After lighting the lamp, Madam addressed an inspirational speech rendering the importance of ‘International Girls Day’.

The programme was preceded by speeches given by Pracheta Deshpande and Supriya Chavan of Std XII. They shared their views regarding the achievements of the great women in the country and how their examples can be implemented in the society to protect the girls.

Mitali Mhasawade of Std VII recited a Sanskrit poem “Nav Yuga Janata Balika” Khushi Rane of Std IV recited a poem in Marathi-  “Stri Bhrunahattya”.

The programme was concluded by a motivational speech given in Marathi  by our respected teacher- Mrs. Snehal Patke.

Felicitation: Patiksha Bhalekar of XII commerce and Nandini Joshi of Std. X were felicitated by our Principal for their outstanding performance in their school life. Their qualities as a friend, as a student, as a daughter deserves to be honoured on the occasion of International Girls Day.
