Dramatic Tapestry: Students Bring History Alive

On the 16th of February, Amrita Vidyalayam school resonated with historical fervour as it joyously celebrated the 393rd birth anniversary of the mighty Maratha warrior, Shivaji Maharaj. The school grounds were adorned with vibrant decorations and echoes of enthusiasm as students from Std III to IX came together to pay tribute to this iconic figure in Indian history.

The highlight of the celebration was a captivating drama performed by the students, skilfully portraying the life events of Shivaji Maharaj. From the dramatic birth of Shivaji Maharaj, to his rigorous training, and the depiction of the intense battle with Afzal Khan, were met with awe and applause. The grand finale of the play beautifully captured the majestic coronation of Shivaji Maharaj, bringing the historical narrative to life for the entire school community. This commemoration not only served as a tribute to the valiant leader, but also as an educational experience, allowing students to connect with and appreciate the rich history of our nation in a delightful and engaging manner.
