Aashadi Ekadashi was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion at our school. The event began with Ishita Deshmukh from Std IX reading out the significance of this auspicious day, enlightening everyone about its importance in the Hindu calendar. Aashadi Ekadashi marks the beginning of the holy month of Shravan and is dedicated to Lord Vitthal. It is a day of fasting, prayers, and singing devotional songs. Ishita’s explanation helped everyone understand why this day holds a special place in the hearts of many devotees.
Following the enlightening speech, students from UKG to Std IX took part in a vibrant palkhi procession. The procession was a colorful display of joy and devotion, with students dressed in traditional attire, singing bhajans, and dancing to the rhythm of drums and cymbals. The celebration culminated with a beautiful dance performance, showcasing the cultural richness associated with Aashadi Ekadashi. The event ended on a spiritual note with the Vitthal Aarti, performed by our Principal and Vice Principal, filling the atmosphere with divine energy, and bringing the celebrations to a heartfelt close.
