Shivaji Maharaj is respected by the entire cross section of Indians. His struggle against an imperial power became an icon for freedom fighters in the Indian independence struggle. He has been a source of inspiration and pride to past generations and will continue to be for future generations as well. He is remembered as a wise king, and his rule is one of the six golden ages in Indian history. Keeping all this in mind, our school paid tribute to this heroic, exemplary, outstanding and inspiring legend who made a difference.
Our school celebrated Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti with great enthusiasm and fervour. The celebration started with a mesmerizing Shiv garjana (Aaroli) by our tiny-tot Anvi Nigade of UKG, followed by the melodious song, ‘Hey Hindu Shakti’ by our students Yashshree Jadhav of Class IV and Sudhanshu Patke of Class VIII. Last but not least, a speech on Shivaji Jayanti was delivered which reminded all about the innumerable qualities of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj like efficacious organizer, strategic visionary, great warrior, enlightened administrator, inspiring leader, and obedient son.
