“The science of today Is the technology of tomorrow.”
On the occasion of ‘Nation Science Day’ an exhibition was organized at our school on 28th February.
The Science and Maths Exhibition was an extraordinary event that showcased the brilliant minds of young scientists and mathematicians from our school. The exhibition was inaugurated by our Principal Swamini Pavanamritha Prana, Bri. Nayanamritha Chaitanya Principal of Amrita Vidyalayam Baneshwar, Nischalamrita Chaitanya Principal of Amrita Vidyalayam Hinjawadi, Vice-Principal Mrs. Indulekha Jayashankar. The exhibition aimed to promote scientific skills and abilities of students. The event witnessed the participation of students from different standards, who presented their projects related to science and mathematics.
The significance of science day was read by Hetal Thakare of Std –VI. She emphasized the importance of science in our day to day life and how it has contributed to the development of the world.
The exhibition was divided into different sections, each section showcasing a different them related to Science, Maths, G K, Morality and Sports. The highlights of the exhibition are as follows: –
I) Science Models: – Students from Std –II to IX presented their concepts such as solar system, Electric Lifting Machine, Hydraulic arm with air & water pressure, working water cycle and some beautiful rangolis were made to showcase the topic ‘Save environment’, ‘Save Water’ etc.
II) Mathematical Models/ Puzzles: – Students from std-II to IX presented their mathematical models and puzzles, which challenged the logical and analytical abilities of the viewers. The Models and puzzles included Formulas Matching, Even, odd, prime detector, concept of measurement, Pythagoras theorem etc.
III) Robotics: – Students from our school presented their robotics project, which included a variety of robots such as line-following robots, obstacles- avoiding robots and remote controlled robots, cars etc. The projects showcased the students understanding of the principles of robotics and their ability to implement them practically.
IV) Art/ Craft: – The art and craft section of the exhibition showcased the creativity and talent of the students. There were various exhibits on display, such as paintings, drawing, pottery and sculptures. The paintings and drawings exhibited were a mix of different styles, ranging from traditional to modern.
V) Sports: – The sports section of the exhibition showcased the physical abilities of the students. There were various sports activities on display, such as basketball, football, cricket, kabbadi, athletics etc. The students demonstrated their skills in each of these sports and it was evident that they had been practicing hard. The sports section also emphasized the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship which are essential values in sports.
VI) General –Knowledge: – The general –knowledge section of the exhibition showcased the student’s knowledge of various topics such as history, geography, science, historical monuments, 7 wonders etc. The exhibits included projects, models and charts that highlighted various aspects of these topics.
VII) Morality: – The morality section of the exhibition was dedicated to showcasing the participants understanding of ethical and moral values. The exhibits included displays on topics such as honesty, integrity, respect, praying charity, good-manners and kindness.
Overall, the exhibition was a success, and it provided a platform for participants to showcase their talents and knowledge. The exhibition was a testament to the diversity and richness of human expression and it left visitors with a sense of appreciation for the talents and knowledge of a students.
