SCHOOL JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

Janmashtami, the vibrant and joyous celebration of Lord Krishna’s birth, resonated with devotion and enthusiasm in our school this year. The school campus was transformed into a realm of devotion, colours and cultural splendor as we celebrated Janmashtami with great fervour.

The celebration kicked off with a soul stirring speech by Advait Bilurkar, a talented student from Std. VII. Advait eloquently narrated the significance of Janmashtami, emphasizing Lord Krishna’s teachings on love, compassion, and righteousness. The heart of our Janmashtami celebration was the cultural extravaganza that followed the speech. Students from Std-II, VII and IX stole the show with their mesmerizing dance performances. The young artists beautifully depicted the life of Lord Krishna through their graceful movements and colorful costumes.

The final performance of the day was dedicated to the ‘Dahi Handi’ tradition, where Lord Krishna’s love for butter was humorously portrayed. The precision and enthusiasm with which they recreated these traditional sports left everyone applauding their talent, team work and dedication. The Janmashtami celebration at our school was not just an event; it was a journey into the divine world of Lord Krishna’s teaching and leelas.
