On 24th January, pre-primary and primary section of the school celebrated Annual Sports Day. Shri. Manoj Devalekar, eminent sports teacher and coach, and Kendra Pramukh of Dnyan Prabodhini School, was invited as the Chief Guest.
The function began with the hoisting of the sports flag, followed by the Sports Torch relay. The chief guest also participated in the torch relay as the torch was carried around the school campus. A variety of sports events were performed by the students using props such as cricket bat, badminton racket, ribbons etc. Later, the chief guest and the principal gave away the prizes to the winners of the competitions.
On 26th January, the school celebrated Republic Day and secondary section of the school also celebrated Annual Sports Day. On this day, Shri. Krishna Dhokale, eminent mountaineer from Maharashtra, was invited as the Chief Guest.
In his Speech, Shri. Dhokale stressed the importance of sports and outdoor activities in the personality development of the students. He then shared his experience of scaling Mt. Everest and others in the audience.
Ajinkya Patil of Std. IX gave a speech in English and Prajakta Ingle gave a speech in Hindi. The principal, Brni. Pavanamritaji presented the Annual School Report. Scholarships were awarded to meritorious students and the winners of various competitions were awarded with trophies and certificates. A variety of programmes on the theme of sports as well as love for the country, were presented by the students. The performance of the students received a huge applause from the chief guest as well as parents.
The programme ended with Vande Mataram.
