Our school celebrated the 68th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm. Principal Brni. Pavanamrithaji, hoisted the National Flag. This was followed by National Anthem, ‘Zenda geet’ and pledge.
Sainarayan Swami of standard IX gave a speech in English, and Manasvi Hiremat of standard VII gave a speech in Hindi. Principal Madam then spoke to the students about why the day is celebrated, reminding them about the sacrifices of great revolutionaries like Savarkar and Lokmanya Tilak.
Shreya Bhosale of standard IX was awarded a trophy for winning the skating competition at the National Level. Amrita scholarships were awarded to 17 deserving students. Prizes were also given to students who secured first and second place in various school competitions.
The programme ended with Vande Mataram.
