A variety of programmes were arranged to celebrate Onam at school. Athira Nair of Std. IX spoke about the Onam festival, and students of Std. III and Std. IV performed a skit showcasing the importance of Onam. Thiruvathirakali dance was performed by students of Std. V and Std. VI. This is an extremely popular folk dance performed by maidens of Kerala. Students of UKG participated in the traditional boat race performance of Kerala. ‘Pulikali’, a colourful art form of Kerala performed by trained artists to entertain people during Onam, was presented by students. Finally, a mini Kerala was depicted through the song Shyam Sundaram which represents the culture of Kerala.
