On 16th December 2022, students of Std-XI had the privilege of attending a road safety awareness program organized by the Regional Transport office, Pimpri Chinchwad. Sr. Inspector Motor Vehicles, Mr. Sangramkumar Jagtap Sir conducted the programme. The program was aimed at educating students about the importance of road safety, traffic rules and regulations.
The event began with Mr. Sangramkumar Jagtap Sir emphasizing the importance of road safety and how it should be a top priority for everyone who uses the road. He went on to explain the various safety measures that should be taken while on the road, such as wearing seat belts, using helmets, while riding two-wheelers, following traffic signals, and avoiding distracted driving.
During the program, the students were shown a video that showcased the devastating consequences of road accidents, including injuries, fatalities and damage of property. The program also had a question-and-answer session where students were given the opportunity to ask any questions they had about road safety.
Overall, the program was very informative and provided the students with a better understanding of road safety. It was a wake-up call for them to be more responsible while on the road, and to always prioritize their safety and the safety of others.
