National Science Day was joyfully celebrated at Amrita Vidyalayam school, with Adira Nair from Std VII enlightening the students about its significance and shared insights about the remarkable scientist, C.V. Raman. To engage the students, an essay competition was organized, spanning from Std V to VIII. The topics were thoughtfully chosen, ‘Conservation of National Resources‘ for the younger participants and ‘Merits and Demerits of Science’ for the older ones. The enthusiasm was palpable as students from each class actively participated, showcasing their knowledge and creativity. From each class, four outstanding students were selected to represent their peers, ensuring a diverse representation of talent and perspectives.
Furthermore, the students had the opportunity to participate in various competitions organized by IUCAA (Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics) in honour of National Science Day. It was a proud moment for the school as some of our talented students were recognized with participation certificates. Viraj Nule showcased his artistic skills in the drawing competition, while Saksham Kadam and Ayush Redekar impressed all with their model-making abilities. Swara Patil showcased her prowess in essay writing, and Inaya Maulavi, Disha Pawar, and Sachi Patel displayed their knowledge in the quiz competition.
The proud moment of recognition unfolded in the school assembly, where Principal Madam presented the certificates. These achievements not only reflect the dedication and hard work of our students, but also underscore the school’s commitment to nurturing scientific curiosity and talent among its students.
