Marathi Bhasha Diwas is celebrated in honour of the Marathi language. It is celebrated every year on 27th February to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dhyanpeeth award winner poet Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar popularly known as Kusumagraj.

Marathi being the official language of the state of Maharashtra, the focus of this celebration was to promote Maharashtrian culture among the students of our school.

On this day, assembly was conducted in Marathi, a speech on the significance of ‘Marathi Bhasha Diwas’ was given, and information on Kusumagraj who was a renowned Marathi poet, playwright, novelist and humanist was delivered. Following this, the Marathi song ‘He Mai Bhumi, He Janam Bhumi was sung by our teachers. The students applauded them for their hard work and effort.

Our school believes that exposing students to multiple languages enhances access to people and resources through better communication. The assembly thus enabled the students and teachers to actively participate in the Marathi language day celebration where they got an opportunity to display appreciation for the multicultural world.
