Inspiring Students through Bhagavad Gita Recitation

On 24th September 2024, our school had the honour of hosting the Bhagavad Gita Chanting Competition organized by Chinmaya Mission Pune. The competition was open to students from Nursery to Class XII, focusing on Chapter V – Karmasanyasayoga. The students were grouped based on their class levels, with each group assigned specific verses to chant. Group A included Nursery to UKG, chanting shlokas 1-6, while Group B consisted of students from 1st to 2nd grade, chanting shlokas 1-11. Group C, composed of 3rd and 4th graders, recited shlokas 1-16, and Group D, featuring students from 5th and 6th grades, recited up to shloka 21. Senior groups, E and F, included students from 7th to 12th grade, reciting shlokas 1-26 and 1-29 respectively.

A total of 279 students enthusiastically participated, showcasing their dedication and reverence for the sacred verses. The competition was a vibrant display of spiritual learning and devotion, as students confidently chanted the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. This event not only fostered a sense of discipline and focus, but also deepened their understanding of our rich cultural heritage.
