Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated at our school with great joy and enthusiasm. An idol of Lord Ganesha was installed in the school on September 2nd, and Aarti was performed by our Principal Madam and all the teaching and non-teaching staff every day.
One of our teachers, Snehal Patke delivered a speech about Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganapati Atharvashirsha was recited daily by a few students in the assembly. A group dance was performed by students of Std. VII, and the school Dhol Tasha group presented a very energetic performance on the occasion. A few students and teachers chanted Ganapati Atharvashirsha eleven times on the sixth day. On the last day, all the staff members gathered for Ganesh Visarjan. A procession was carried out with dance and Dhol Tasha, and the idol was immersed in the tank at Minatai Thakre Ground, Yamunanagar. The motive behind this was to celebrate a pollution free and eco-friendly Ganesh festival. Mahaprasad was distributed to all at the end of the celebrations.
