Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated in our school with great joy and enthusiasm. A colourfully decorated idol of Lord Ganesha was installed in the school for seven days. Aarti of Lord Ganesha was performed by our Principal Madam and teachers every day. ‘Ganapati Atharvashirsha’ was recited daily by a few students and teachers. Om Shete of Std. VIII shared information about Ganesh Chaturthi. A group dance was performed by students of Std. VI, VII and VIII. The Dhol Tasha group of our school presented a very energetic performance on the occasion.
On the seventh day, all the staff members gathered for Ganesh Visarjan. A procession was carried out with a dance and Dhol Tasha procession. The idol was immersed in the Indrayani River with emotional goodbyes from all students and staff members. At the end, Mahaprasad was distributed to all.
