The primary and secondary section of Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated Annual Day on 8th and 10th January 2015 respectively.
Shri. Gautam Chabukswar, MLA Pimpri, Pune, was invited as the chief guest on 8th January. Shri RohidasKonde, Retd. Addl. Commissioner, PCMC and Swami Vidyamritananda Puri, Mathadhipati, Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Pune were invited as the guests of honour. A variety of cultural programmes were presented by the students of the primary section.
Dr. Shridhar Gokhale, former HOD of English Dept., University of Pune, was invited as the chief guest on 10th January. A sports climbing wall, the first of its kind in PCM area’s educational institutes, was inaugurated on this occasion. A demonstration of wall climbing was given by the student under the guidance of Shri Krishna Dhokle, Summiteer of Mt. Everest.
The Principal, Brni. Pavanamritha Chaitanya, read out the Annual Report. The chief guest addressed the students. The meritorious students were then awarded prizes by the chief guest. Mrs. VijilaRajkumar and Mrs. Vaishali Badgujar were presented with the Best Teacher award. The students of secondary section and Jr. College performed a variety of cultural programmes that were enjoyed by all.
The programme ended with Vande Mataram.
