Our school celebrated the festival of Onam with great enthusiasm. The program began with the lighting of the lamp by our Principal, symbolizing the start of the event. We warmly welcomed King Mahabali, a central figure in Onam, with Mahesh Choudhary from Std VI playing the role. The Pookalam rangoli, a traditional floral design, added colour to the event and set the festive mood. The significance of Onam was beautifully explained by Kala Miss, who shared the importance of the festival and its connection to Kerala’s rich cultural heritage.
On this special occasion, the school also paid tribute to the victims of the tragic Wayanad landslide, reminding us of the importance of empathy and community. A Pookalam rangoli competition was organized for the students of Std VI, where they showcased their creativity through intricate floral patterns. The event was a wonderful blend of celebration, learning, and reflection, making it a memorable day for everyone.
