From October 7th to 11th, our school Navratri celebration started with a touching skit about a woman who was mistreated by her mother-in-law. In her sadness, she prayed to Lord Vishnu, who appeared and comforted her. Lord Vishnu then punished the mother-in-law for her cruelty and told the woman that every woman has the power within herself to fight against evil. The skit continued with a scene where another woman, troubled by a man, prayed to Goddess Durga. The goddess appeared and encouraged the woman to defeat the evil thoughts in men, showing the strength of goodness.
After the skit, students from Standards IV, V, VIII, and IX performed different cultural dances. They presented graceful Gondhal and Garba dances, which brought energy and joy to the students. The program came to a peaceful close with the Aarti of Shakti Peeth, where everyone joined in prayer. In total, 57 students participated in the event, making it a successful and meaningful occasion for both the performers and the school. On the second day college girls from Std XI and XII performed Garba, Dandiya and the very famous Dhunuchi dance.
The school resonated with the divine chants of the Shri Mahishasur Mardini Stotram, recited by students from Classes 2 to 10 daily during the morning assembly. The teachers and office staff also joined in, adding to the spiritual atmosphere. Each day, a special pooja was conducted, with the grand Saraswati Pooja being performed on the 11th by Swarada Kulkarni and Swara Patil of Class X, representing the student body. To mark the occasion, Saee Kulkarni of Class IX shared valuable insights about the significance of Navratri and Dussehra. The week was a deeply enriching experience for everyone.
